- Alexandra Grove Added August 19, 2023★ ★ ★ ★ ★I booked a 2 day trip with Chinta Air for four that included a flight over Wilpena Pound, lunch at Innamincka, a night at the Birdsville Hotel and a flight over Kati Thanda - Lake Eyre- Maree Man and lunch at Maree following day. Communication and booking with Chinta was seamless.
The trip was more incredible than we could have hoped for. We couldn't get to Birdsville because of low cloud and rain so overnighted in Innamincka. The weather was so bad the next day we had to spend another night in Innamincka.
The following day was spectacular and we got to complete our journey including having breakfast in Birdsville.
Our pilot Felicity was outstanding in her skills as a pilot, a tour guide, as a raconteur and as an effective problem solver.
Chinta Air facilitated the trip of a lifetime. The landscape that we flew over is incredible. Our pilot was Andrew he was awesome very professional & his commentary was very informative. WOW JUST WOW Wilpena Pound is GORGEOUS. The landscape & scenery from above is majestic. Thank you for a beautiful experience on our 1st morning of travels. A DEFINITE MUST DO.
